wii mics not detected

hope someone can help i have just got some mics for the wii and have a softmodded wii with usb hard drive plugged in bottom usb have tried mics in top one and games like sing it encore and disney sing it dont detect mics tried them in usb hub also used neogamma and wiflow still no joy how do i get them to work as my daughter is doin my head in cheers

You are probably missing the IOS's that work the USB mics. IOS on the Wii are like drivers. Install IOS 223 and run the game with that IOS.

Or, you could just try and update your Wii with all the latest IOS's by using ModMii or Pimp my Wii on it and they should just do it all for you...

Also just read that if you need more than one mic plugged in (along with your USB hd) then Nintendo recommends a good quality USB hub with external power supply - Logitech apparently...

did the wii with pimp my wii couple of weeks ago have read on wiiso that i need to put these files on cIOSX rev 20b installer and IOS57-64-v5918.wad on have dloaded them but have tried putting them at root of sd and in apps but no installer shows up so im stumped . if antone can help or knows an easier way it would be mutch appreciated im trying to get wesing encore and disney sing it 2 work have also read that u have to alter setting in neogamma or wiflow but dont quuite get the grasp of it quite new to all this wii carry on have done a few soft mods but followed a guide so it not like i had to think mutch lol

There should be a folder in the root of your SD card called 'wad'.
That is where you put wad files.
If it isn't there create a folder called 'wad' (all lower-case)

Once in the correct place you use Wad Manager to install it.

If you are using an installer file(a .dol file), then you put it in it's own folder inside the 'apps' folder on the SD card. Once there, make sure the .dol file is called 'boot.dol'. If it is called something else, rename to boot.dol.

This installer will then show up in the homebrew channel and you can run it from there.

.wad files go in the wad folder > install wads by using Wad Manager (download from link above and place in it's own folder inside the apps folder)

.dol files are placed into the apps folder in its own folder, renamed to boot.dol and are displayed and ran from the homebrew channel.

how did you go did it work?

just updated all with modmii (new version) to 4.1 and my mics now work fine with hard drive, altho having to change to 223 on some games (U-Sing)

only game having bother with is U-Sing2 , works but losts of 2 seconds pausing going on.

Anyone else getting this?

Having a similar problem with we sing 2 and we sing robbie.

Think i had a similar problem last year on my 4,2e Wii.

I found this and followed the guide,got all my Guitar Hero stuff working including mics.
