Morning peeps,

A friend of mine has a dm500 that he bought from a dealer locally. He has all the Sly channels and works like a charm.

The problem hes having, or giving me, is that he would like to get this set up again in another property he owns but the guy that installed the DM500 is not reachable at all. Tried every means....

Is there a way to copy the dm500 box config and replicate it to another DM500 in another property?

Instead of learning how to set it up from scratch, can i not just copy the config over?

All advice will be appreciated.

There is using Dream Control Center which is in downloads plus plenty of tuts on how too copy the CFG file over in the forum....

But the prob you may have is your supplier of the server probably wont allow running two box from different ip addresses...

1 Box = 1 Account

you'l also cause problems with the server, you will have 2 user logins fighting for a place on the server, one will connect for a second then get kicked off as the other tries to connect and vice versa, resulting in neither box being usable. my understanding of it anyhow.

Its not the ip of your box,its the ip of your internet,box only has a mac addy....
