Hi I have an openbox s9 but when it turns on the blue screen loads but I cannot do anything with remote or buttons on front.

Have tried flashing with serial cable and loader posted on another thread but keep getting error "set stb memory error"

anybody got any idea's.

Yeh flashing via serial cable have the box switched off at the back click the tick box that says include bootloader

Then when you click for it to flash the box turn the box on on the back a second after clicking flash

Not sure if im using the wrong loader can you give me a link to the one you used as i only ever recieve message set stb memory error.

i'v never used this loader but thats how another box i had in the past mate, at which point r u getting the error??

When I click next from the first screen I get syncronizing stbs ( done ) then I get the set STB memory error.

have you got a null modem cable or a serial ???

load in your firmware 2 the loader click the tick box (include bootloader) and make sure the box is switched off at the back, click on the next button and as you press next flick the box on

I had a similar problem other day, mine wouldnt boot (my fault, messing around with firmwares)
the STB memory error is to do with the image your flashing over


try a different dump , but dont tick include boot loader.

ste`s right with his instructions but dont tick bootloader just yet, we dont know if your bootloader is fuxed and if we can help it, lets not mess around with it.


ive attached a file that worked for me. everythings in there, leave it on all default setting, but make sure bootloader isnt ticked, and just open the firmware and upload that.

Tried that mate but no luck still getting error "set stb memory error"
