my son decided to update the fw on the PS3 so any chance of using them psgroove dongle have been dashed

I am tempted to go down to CEX or Game and buy a second hand PS3 or should I wait and see if a new release of PSGroove will combat the new firmware

I would keep the one you have as your Online Machine.

I would go down CEX or I would buy a faulty one off ebay and fix it cheaper in the long run. Use this one for psgroove only.

I'd hold off for a while, I'm sure the 3.42 patch will be circumvented soon enough.

I hadn't used my PS3 for a while but I was certain that it was on 3.41.

3 days ago I decided to check and found it was on 3.40, thank God I updated when I did, lol.

yeh i think its better if u hold on for a little longer, cos the ball has already started rolling and i think it won't be much longer for a patch for 3.42,
just in case u don't get a patch for 3.42 than u can always buy another ps3 at that time but for now i'd say don't waste ur money at this moment cos u don't wanna regret it later
