Usig a ATI hd4350 to tv HDMI

I want to buy ATI HD 4350 that has D-SUB, DVI and HDMI out so I can run the PC in clone mode ?

Will this work because using D sub And dvi-HDMI haven't been compatible in the past. You can only run one at a time. Does this card have a switch in it or something?

I have posted attachment so you can see the card has D sub HDmI and DVI

    Any help would be good.

Re: Usig a ATI hd4350 to tv HDMI

Apparently the VGA/D-Sub won't work at the same time as HDMI port due to a shared RAMDAC.

However, the DVI port has its own RAMDAC so will work with the HDMI port plus it is DVI-I. Meaning that it supports DVI-A as well as DVI-D, so you could use a DVI-VGA connector and get resolutions upto 2048x1536 over this connection. (According to the spec sheet for the 4300 series at least.)

Noting that HDCP protected content, for example purchased blu-ray discs, will not work over analogue connections (e.g. VGA, s-video, composite etc) nor clone mode.

That was going to be my next question DVI to D-Sub converter.
This will be perfect for my mates PC as his Monitor is VGA.
About the HDCP content, so to clarify you could watch a retail blu-ray disc if it was DVI-HDMI or HDMI-HDMI but not D-sub or any other analogue signal.

    Correct...

Unless you use AnyDVD HD, which strips out HDCP encoding on the fly, thus allowing BD playback via analogue connections.
