OK, Finally got the box in today. Big Thanks to Eurosky for delivery. Pleasure to deal with.

Ok aesthetics look good. Nice Looking Box.

Loaded the SW + Patches really easy to install.

Network also really easy to setup. Set ip and away I went.

Now after this I sent my cfg via the usb which you can also do via the remote. Very handy

Now for to find sats. Now I have only had a sat system for the past few month so I am still learning. The box I have is a dm500s and could never get usals to work, so it was manually moving the motor till I hit it. And I must say USALS is really nice and easy to use. Had to fine tune a cpl but doddle.

This was only after ripping my hair out as I never saved my lat long and couldn't figure out what was going wrong.

Scanning, Really fast esp on sly. Scanned each sat as I stored it. Done in no time at all.

Channel List is very like the kryptview but with no automated bouquets.

You can sort the channels in various ways but the annoying thing is after you sort it out of default then view the channel, it will revert back to the default sorting method which is by channel number.

You have 8 fav so you can in a sense have a bouquet list to what you want.

I have just made 2 the now. 1 HD and the other sport.

Hopefully a comprehensive channel manager comes out in future.

EPG is of no use either but it wasnt great on the Dm500s either but would have expected more from a modern HD box. Now and next only, but better than nothing.

Added the boxkey easily once I had inserted card then you just use the remote to add the details.

Picture quality was just as good as my skyHD box no glitchs as all. It ran like a dream.

So other than the channel organising this box seems a right good box.

Very easy to use, update and flawless HD and SD picture

Not tried the recording as of yet but will try it soon and post back.

nice review,
let us know about the recording as im also thinking of getting a hard drive.

I found the PVR functions to be perfect, recording to both a usb stick and usb hard drive gives great glitch free results.

Rodbouy, isn't it the easiest machine you've ever used, lol

It is mate. For entry level ppl who want just for watch TV SD & HD then you will be hard pushed to find a better box tbh.

Yup, I totally agree with that mate.

Have you tried the MAME emulator yet? :)

No, bit gutted at that. The weans have took over the tv, i had the shot while they slept. But once they got up, peppa pig and ooglies took over.

And its going to its actual owner 2 nite :(

cccam config file thats if your running your own home network or from a n other c/s server.

if you using just the FTA and gift then you wont need to bother with that.

Easy to set up excellent all round receiver and a good price with the gift. Also a doddle to take the next step and receive virtually everything you want to watch and an excellent picture especially in HD.

Regards Satdude.

Have you had a look at the ccCam setup page?

It's like this...

Name or IP Address :
Port:
ID:
Password:

Newcamd is just as easy.

Aye, ah had sent mine by usb, then had a look at it. Really well laid out and easy to use also.

Its made most things simplistic.

Im a sat noob and Spiderbox was my idea :)

Thanks for the info Rodbouy.

Forgot to ask, For your first patch, did you have any bother loading the latest patch, or did you have to resort to an earlier one and then the latest.

I pm'd manic01 the same question

Load the 20 dec patch
Then the 2nd from last patch
Then the latest test patch.
Once patch is loaded, reset key data and then load softcam.

So it will now be like above then the most recent cccam fix.

or have I just confused the hell out of you :)

I've just addded patches as they came without any sort of roll back, I've not had a problem loading them at all.

This is for the first ever patch out of the box. I read a few people had some trouble just loading the later patches to a new box.

I think the furthest back you need to go is the 20th Dec, then Just do every one since the and you should be sorted mate.

What is the last update under System Information mate?

I don't get my box until tomorrow, but won't have time to do anything with it until Wednesday. But by the time i load all them patches, it might be June until you hear from me again.

Thanks for your interest witchy.
