Re: changin dvd region

a copy already? dvdshrink when u come burn it allows you to either specify the region or make it region free.

usually a copy is already region free... it just wouldn't play rather than in black and white if it was a region problem. i think it's something else

Re: changin dvd region

You can make your DVD player region free by entering a code on the remote.
If you want to find out which code is required for your machine then try VideoHelp.com and check out the DVD Hacks.
Hope this helps.

Your DVD player must be region free already as you are able to play the disc.
The picture is in black and white because it is probably a R1 disc so NTSC format instead of PAL.

How is the DVD player connected to the TV? Try to connect it using RGB scart or composite cables and the picture should be fine.

Some DVD players have a TV format bit in the settings where you can change it from Auto, NTSC, and PAL. Change it to PAL to force a PAL output.

I agree. Its not a region issue but a PAL vs NTSC issue. Most European TV will adjust depending on the type of connector you are using. How is you 360 and DVD player connected, both through scart or is the 360 via HDMI ?
