hmm i get this in cccam info page:

card reader /dev/ttyUSB0
no or unknown card inserted


now i have put a card in
tried a virmin card just to see if it work and still says this

it should say card inserted??

running on debian 5 vmware

any help???

My cccam info says my smargo card reader is

/dev/usb/tts/0

Its on my DM800 so not sure if it will be the same or not

tried that still not working

In your cccam.cfg have you got this:

SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+

???

yes thats what i have it as

but cccam says no card

Try /dev/ttyUSB1 smartreader+
/dev/ttyUSB2 smartreader+

etc

It may be that the usb port you have it plugged into is assigned a different address...

What does lsusb -v give you?

Another thing to check is that the smargo is in the correct mode ie windows/dreambox kernel...Did you plug it into a windows machine 1st to check?

hi u got a link to the app that sets version do i have to put it into dreambox kernal mode or windows mode as im using a vmware i think windows mode???
