Hello Guys & Girls,

I started a new mobile phone contract about 5 months ago and i know its 24 months long with Voda**ne, what a suprise they now have the mobile that i wanted ie the I Ph*ne 3GS, i started contract with the next best at the time an HTC Magic. I enquired about starting a new contract or updating if possible to the I Pho*e in my local Vodafon* store they recommended i try customer services, i did but got the expected answer you have only had 5 months contract.

Has anyone else had a situation like mine and does anyone have any great advice or loopholes with this ???

yeh it is called paying up your minimum contract term

look in the terms and conditions of the contract to which you signed up

im the same bud..i took out the n97 and have only had it for 7 month on vodafone. dont get an upgrade till november..so i cut my losses and sold my n97 and put some money to an ihpone. lucky enough i got a new one in a sealed box for 380 on vodaphone. ok mayb lost out on money but well worth it..cant c me changin to nokia again and guess what by time my upgrade is due..hopefully should get the new iphone 4g so im happy.. you'll get your phone sold no probs and theres always someone sellin an iphone..just be carefull. if the price seems to good to be true..just leave it. i bought one for 280 day afore i got this one and i got bumped more or less.phone was locked to orange when i was told phone was unlocked

it is your own fault for signing up to a lengthy contract

in other words if u cannot afford the fone then dont buy it, being hooked up to lengthy contracts is not the answer

listen you can get the iphone

either buy it sim free or better idea

get your self another contract done deal

get a m8 to pay for the rest of the contrct your in if you can as i got some m8s that cant even get a contract

give them the sim card as long as you can trust them

i think you only hope is that there change the T&C at some point then use that to get out of it or pay for the rest of your contract

only other thing i can think of which is a long shot ,tell them that there said it could do "something it can not do" so it not fit for purpose , only downside to this is you had it for quite a long time, so I'm thinking it would not work

has the phone got any knows bugs ??? that might work for the fit for purpose

I would try and stick with what you have for at least a year.

I'm guess that sometime round about June/July of this year Apple with release a 4G version of the iPhone anyway and by this time next year you will be able to get that one.

Nothing personal but I just dont understand why folks go rushing into these 24 month contracts when they are obviously the sort of person that loves their tech. Far better to pay a bit more up front and have a 12 month contract.
