Flashing Green & Red leds!

OK, so i got a console with the 3 RRoD, which i knew was exploitable for the jtag (Xenon with 7371 kernel)

So i bought an xclamp kit, and whilst waiting for it to arrive, i decided to go ahead and jtag it! As far as i was concerned, the jtagging was done... The xclamp kit arrive today, and i fitted it... No nore RRoD, but now i have 2 red leds, and two green leds which flash and alternate.

I have never seen this before, and am wondering if it has something to do with the flash?

Re: Flashing Green & Red leds!

i also have had 1 exactly the same as this (very rare)
2 red lights at the top and 2 green lights at the bottom
then the red turn to green and the green turn to red and so on

on mine it was a 3 red light'er i fixed, then it 3 red light'ed again
so i fixed it again, then the green and red lights came
this time it wouldnt fix, even with the heat gun e.c.t
so probably nothing to do with the jtag and just the gpu.

Re: Flashing Green & Red leds!

well i will try 2 things:

1.) Reflash the xbr.bin again - it took me 3 dumps from the NAND before i got two identical onces, so maybe there is also an error when uploading the bin.

2.) Flash orig.bin (twice if necessary) - if that still comes up with "the christmas lights, i can conclude that it is an issue with the GPU!

Re: Flashing Green & Red leds!

The christmas tree (as it's known) is a known NAND isssue.

Try this to get round

dump orig.bin

Inject only the KV (no config) into XBR

Flash XBR back to the console

Also make sure you have any 'bad blocks' remapped
