Card readers for CCcam - Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum

Hi all,

I want to serve my card from my computer or a card reader of some sort as my 800 is not doing great.

What is a good card reader, for the new White card.

Cheers guys thats what i'm reading.

I will tell you my problem i have my white card in a dm800 clone and trying to share it to peers, all seems to be ok then suddenly it has stopped, and also clients have been having to restart there boxes they also have 500s clones.

I'm using Newcs/cccam 2.1.2

Have you any tips, i was gonna try an external card reader as maybe the dm800 is not up to it, although i only have 3 peers at the moment.

Any tips Bod please

CCcam 2.1.3 & 2.1.4 do not require the use of Newcs

Try the latest version and see how you get on

I'm usinf CCCAM 2.1.4 + Smargo + DM800 clone and it runs fine...No drop outs etc

Personally I'm using 2.1.3 internal card reader dm800 with no probs, jst add b#xkey to CCcam config, have re-booted stb 2-3 times per month so no issues with auto update either
have not tried 2.1.4 yet but there seems to be some issue with digi keys, so I'm gonna wait a while

My setup is the same as yours Bod, except i'm using newcs as a card server.

Gonna use 2.1.3 as the server and will post my results.

why don't you fo striaght to 2.1.4?
