Hi just a quick bit of info for anyone who is upgrading thier hdd in thier sky+ box and is trying to make thier hdd run in quiet mode.
You need to get hold of a copy of ftool which is ver 1.3 or lower not the newest one as hitatchi have removed the accoustic managment feature form the latest version.
here's an iso version with the acoustidc management bit in.
burn to cd then reboot your pc with this with the hdd you want to change the properties of connected to your pc on an internal connection.
It's fine if you put it in place of your primary disk drive as it boots completely from the cd.
