Discuss Iso file compression ? at the Burning CDR + DVDR within the DigitalWorldz - Satellite, Cable, Console Forums; Downloaded Call Of Duty in 2 files one is an Image Files (. iso ) but its 7.86 gb . I tryed Dvd shrink but it does'nt do it , any ideas what else to ...

    Smile Iso file compression ?

    Downloaded Call Of Duty in 2 files one is an Image Files (.iso) but its 7.86 gb .
    I tryed Dvd shrink but it does'nt do it , any ideas what else to try ?
    I have a LG GH22NS40 Dvdr and using Tdk dvd-r 16x 4.7gb discs.

    If it is that size bud I am guessing it is for either the 360 or for the PC, either way I would suggest either mounting it (if it is a PC game) or burning to dual layer disk (if it is 360 game..

    Its a pc game , but for my lad , i want it on disc and off my pc.

    you can split it using winrar but you will not be able to play it as it will be compresses and split...or bite the bullet and get some dual layer disks...lol

    Thanks toeknee00 will my burner LG GH22NS40 Dvdr cope with Dual layer discs ? if so what ones do you recommend, thanks for your help m8

    LG GH22NS40 Super Multi - DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM drive - Serial ATA - 48x (CD) / 16x (DVD) 48x (CD) / 22x (DVD±R) / 12x (DVD-R DL) / 16x (DVD+R DL) 32x (CD) / 6x (DVD-RW) / 8x (DVD+RW) / 12x (DVD-RAM)
    As for discs, Verbatims are best.

    Wooaaa there tiger !

    You don't need to burn the disk, it is intended to be mounted on a 'virtual' drive on your PC.

    A virtual drive emulates a real DVD drive and Windows autoplays it and installs the game etc.

    This is the most common one (untick all the shite options on install)....
