ive been running my clone recording to its internal 320gb wd scorpio for about 2 hours. recording eurosport hd.

hdd temp is currently at 50c. seems to of levelled out now. maybe it will increase slightly.

whats the general thought on temp inside the box? 50c acceptable or do you think thats too hot?

im using a heatsink on the broadcom chip and a 40mm (bloody noisy) fan glued next to the removed esata slot at the back (inside the case). its expelling air upwards and out of the case.

what are your thoughts???

I'm using a 120GB in my clone with 2x usb fans on top...I've never seen the hdd temp above 31c mate...

dont fancy external fans really. suppose im wondering if 50c is safe operating conditions
