Splitting the incoming signal...

HI. Does anyone know how many ways you can split the incoming cable signal without losing quality? My mate wants to use 4 or 5 boxes...!!!

Re: Splitting the incoming signal...

it depends on the strenth of the signal to start with mate. its just trial and error unless you can get hold of a meter. there are not supposed to be more than 3 units (with return path ) on rg6 cable, i suspect that the units in question wont be using a return path though.

Thanks guys. Is there not a powered splitter available on the market for this purpose? What 6 way splitter are you using slimshady?

Re: Splitting the incoming signal...

a descent aerial amp should do it. watch out for any modems though as an amp may not be able to send info back through it.
