    Re: Tm 7100

ok digi, thanks i'm thinking of gettin one of these, is the epg any good, and as you know I'm using dm tm 500 so is the set up ie cccam the same, 3 tuners one terrestrial and 2 sat, here in Ireland we have just got our Digital terrestrial service up but its transmitted in mpeg4 instead of mpeg2, will this box work with it? will it work anything like a sky + box in terms of ease of use?
sorry for so many questions, lot of dosh to fork out to be pissed off after gettin it lol

    Re: Tm 7100

    Hi,

I would say that the 7100 is just like a 6900HD SUper+ BUT
    - It Has 2 built in Tuners, woeha, recording and watching at the same time !!
    - You can built in a Harddisk ! YEsssssss, no more harddisk or usb laying around
    - and it can do what a 6900HD is good at , CCcam Client / Newcamd client ! when patched
    - And of course, Technomate receivers supports lots of playstuff, Smartcards, Cams, ...

Hope this was of any help ?

hmmm a little yes.. i have dm500 working as server and client, very cheap box, very stable, am i just biting off more than i need to chew by buying this receiver? I have never patched a receiver of any kind, and have no experience with tm6800/6900 was hoping that the set up would be same as what i have now, might just leave wll enough alone mate thanks anyway..

    Re: Tm 7100

if you can run a linux box, a technomate will be simple for you m8

to patch, drag and drop the patch onto a usb stick, insert into receiver, highlight the patch onscreen, press ok

enter server details using remote and onscreen keyboard

    done

if your 500 is running newcs or cccam, it will also connect to that

The epg of a dm500 is better than the epg of Technomate when configured properly.

Yes, but it's not DVB-T2 compatible, as far as I know, so won't work in the UK for Freeview HD.
