my screen blacks out every 5-10 second then it will stay and then after start blacking out again. sometimes it goes on standby mode and never comes on.
i think its the hardrive or the graphics card.

plz help thanx in advance

Sure it isn't the cable that connects your PC to your screen?

Your symptoms sound very much like a connection issue rather than an 'electronics' issue.

as messa said above or check your pc is not on hibernate mode

iv checked if it goes in hybernate mode and thats off.
the cable is all good working

Mate that doesnt tell us much.
For starters 1 post and your straight in,your suppose to introduce yourself.

Why do u think hard drive or graphics. As for some guys have said,check your settings for the comp. Is your screensaver coming on and its maybe just a blank screensaver,also as suggested, maybe hibernation is setting in or similar.

Is the comp shutting down.
Is there any errors coming up (i.e bluescreens at any time)
When it goes blank, how do u get out out it. Do u just move your mouse or do u shut down.

iv checked all my settings and there all good.

no hiberation mode is on.

theres no screensaver on and the screen goes black.

i have to restart the computer.

also 1 thing i didnt mention when i started the computer 2day it said something about restarting the computer and it was counting down.

those symptoms are of a virus.

turn system restore off, do a full virus scan, then get malbyte antimalware, update it and do a full scan. Then get iobit 360, update it, do a full scan.

Just in case,it wasnt like this was it. If it is its a virus. Blaster worm use to shut your computer down. I seen this virus just a month back on a comp i was fixing. JUST A LONG SHOT because u said it was counting down.
