![]() | Domestic Violence Lessons How any man could vote Labour is beyond me. Whenever and wherever it can discriminate against men, it does. Now children are to get lessons not being violent to women and girls but not men and boys. What does this say to boys in the class (who maybe themselves are suffering)? Why couldn't they just have said 'Violence' without the gender specific?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Domestic Violence Lessons I would suggest that violence in the home is overwhelmingly carried out against the female gender. Any political party is right to try and teach children that this is wrong. Your post seems to suggest that Labour is discriminating between male and female. Nature has already done this rutters. Men are usually physically superior to women so rarely suffer the same type of abuse that they encounter. Being violent towards someone is a world away from being a victim of violence. Perhaps you should have included the source of your information as I can't honestly understand your rant. Chookey |

![]() | Re: Domestic Violence Lessons Here's the source BBC News - School lessons to tackle domestic violence outlined Govt estimates suggest 40% of victims of Domestic violence are male. If you add to that the reluctance of men to report women for violently abusing them then it makes a sizable group to ignore. so boys getting physically abused should shut up and just take it? Why does it have to be female based? Why couldn't they just say domestic violence of all kinds? With girls out-performing boys in all subjects and in all age groups why are they choosing to spend their money on this? Boys sufer more from bullying. Would anyone dare suggest spending £13m on helping just the boys? Any man voting labour just isn't aware of what's going on.

"More than £13m is being provided to help support male and female victims of sexual and domestic violence in a range of actions by the police, local authorities, NHS and government. From 2011, lessons in gender equality and preventing violence in relationships will be compulsory in the personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education curriculum. Chookey | |

![]() | Re: Domestic Violence Lessons Thanks for that but the lessons will only be aimed at tackling violence to women and girls. This government only tackles discrimination if it adversely effects women. There is no Ministry for Men and the Equality Minister is a Feminist. That is why discrimination like this slips through, because there is no-one representing men. Think of it another way..if it were planned to have PSHE lessons of Bullying suffered by boys in school don't you think there would be stink caused by female MPs, pressure groups and women's movements complaining of prejudice?
