Re: Software for burning large bluray movies

Im guessing its an .mkv file?

If you want to play it on a standalone Bluray player or a PS3 then find TSMuxer and create an avchd disc - this willl take about 10 mins to do. Now we goto windows explorer and drag the BDMV and the CERTIFICATE folder that tsMUXER has created to the source window in ImgBurn. On the options tab you need to change File System: to UDF, and UDF Revision: to 2.50. Insert your proper blank DVD DL and click the Folder to Disc Button and wait for it to complete...when done try it in your Standalone Blu-Ray player.

If you want to convert it to DVD for normal DVD players you can use convertx as that will laccept and re-encode .mkv's.

Re: Software for burning large bluray movies

Not too sure really - I tried the Blu ray tab - as thats what the tutorial i found suggested but the screen shots didnt even show an avchd option?? I took a flyer and tried the avchd and i worked fine. If you use the blu ray tab there are several other steps to do which seem un-needed if you use avchd option. Heres a link - see what you think!!!

MKV to BD Guide

Im no expert just got a blu ray player and have been experimenting before taking the plunge and getting a bd writer!!

@BHL - use convertx to convert to dvd compliant Video_ts folder with vobs - I have tested this loads for the stuff the kids want to watch in theor rooms on stand alone dvds and it works fine!!

Re: Software for burning large bluray movies

Use ConvertXtoDVD that will turn your MKV file into a DVD that will play on standard DVD players. You can choose ether to have a 4.5gb single layer or 8gb dual layer disk output.

Re: Software for burning large bluray movies

Newzbin does indeed have all formats in there listings, just type "ice age" in the search then look for the 2009 releases. i just did so and found all types and file sizes lol.
I was getting caught out by that left and right till i realised some will call it "ice age 3" and some "Ice Age : Dawn of the dinosaurs".
