Well I put my new 80cm motorised dish on the top of my outbuilding today, as I was running the cable one of my neighbours over the back asked if I would be painting it the same colour as the house (cream) and i said no as it will fry the LNB, she said it was a monstrosity and if she had to sell her house she could loose value!
I just said it was within the limits of what I can have without planning permision and if I can move it to a lower position when set up then I would.
Can't test it out yet as i'm wainting for my dream box to come.
I would rather position it on the wall below it's current position.

Anyway I think it's a beautiful thing! lol.

you can have up to a 1M dish without planning needed AND a 2nd dish up to 60cm

I might go and buy a 1M dish and a 60cm to really piss them off!

The thing is you should have seen the state of my house when i first moved in 2 years ago, rotting windows, never been painted outside unlike the ones beside it and a shitty garden, I have put all that right so I think a dish won't do any harm.

I might paint some flowers on the dish of write " I am smaller than 1M so FU*K OFF and by the way we don't like your hideous net curtains" I really am going to need a bigger dish for all that!

Never mind planning permissions, it should be against the law to call dishes monstrosities.

Before the diseqc system arrived I used to have one of those 1.5m dishes with a Jack that weighed a ton installed at the front of my old property. When I first installed it the neighbours were always complaining and I told them to mind their own business and they called the council many times but they never forced me to take it off because as far as they were concerned it was secure and not a danger to the public.

To piss the neighbours off I used to move the dishes when they were outside the property lol as the dish used to make a lot of noise when moving this used to scare them off.
