cable satellite consoles extraspark is on a distinguished road
What system and setup for a newbie

Hello all,

I have been looking around at satellite systems and thought about getting a motorised setup. I am interested in foriegn channels and Japan TV which is called JSTV and is on the HotBird 6 at orbital position 13.E. On the website it says it costs £30 a month to get this. Does anybody know if there are subscription packages that I could subscribe to once set up to get a better deal with more channels included etc.
I thought about motorised as I can then access other satellite systems to pick up free to air foriegn stuff.
Is this the best way to go.

Thanks

cable satellite consoles mdt is a jewel in the rough
Re: What system and setup for a newbie

protek 9600ip and 1meter motorised dish, this set up will give you a wealth of channels from about 30 satellites but make sure you have a router at home because it has to be connected to the net. as for the jstv channels on hotbird they where available with a software patch up to about a year ago but now unfortunatly are no longer available. this would be my choice but i advise you to have a good read on the different sites and forums to give yourself a better idea of what you need to do and the costs involved. welcom to the forum and good luck
