I've got a wiinja deluxe fitted, and wiiflow (run all from hard drive now).
I'm not softmodded, just homebrew channel and wiiflow usb loader.

Downloaded a 'fixed' version (only about 400mb, compressed) works fine from wiiflow, but when put on disc gave error screen straight away.

New Super Mario Bros is finaly working with the dvd on a softmod without a chip / hardmod and without a external hardrive!

Is working with every backup / iso and on every Firmware!

So scrubbed versions are working!
Also fixed en patched versions are working.

you don't need to use a alternet dol.

and you don;t have to delete the update within the game

What do you need to get this working:

cios 38 rev 15
cios 222 v4 (for uloader 3.0)
uloader 3.1 (u need 3.1, lower doesn't work, remember, tho you are using this usb loader you dont need to have a external hdd)

any copy of New super mario bros works.

here is the download:nsmb pretpakket.rar (i used this download on a PAL wii edition i dont know about NTSC editions)

order of installation:

first install cios 38 rev 15 and then install cios 222 v4. Then reboot your wii and start through HBC the uloader 3.1.
Once you've started uloader 3.1 press the 2 button on your wii mote to start the dvd function.

one the dvd function is started you can edit the config menu. click on config!
select cios 249 en click on OK! and start the game.

If that doesn't work, I really can't stress people giving USB Loader GX a go.

I finally jumped ship on Saturday, and its amazing!

Don't buy it (and I fear an original might still not work if you are using cios's), get a portable harddrive, install USB loader GX onto an SD card, and install the forwarder .wad.

Format the portable drive using WBFS manager, and get copying.

I have about 35 games on an 80gb 2.5" hard drive. It automatically downloads the covers, and you can rip games to the hard drive from existing discs with a click. Each games has its own separate entry in th .ini and you can change options in the gui, and save them. So once you get a game running, it runs forever.

Sorry, I am still enthused about it.

It is the shit (everything works on it, metroid prime trilogy - with a few tweaks, SSB, New Mario, etc etc.).

I will never use my wii drive to play games again!

I have installed the hombrew channel but that is about as far as it goes. I cannot install a wad installer cos I get error 2011 and if I try to install usb loader gx with the boot.dol file the wii just black screens on me. I even tried loading cIOSCORP v3.3 but that said on all options I need to instal cIOS rev07 first??!!

I have no idea where I am going wrong. My wii is hard modded but I have read you can use soft mods and usb loaders ok. My version is 4.1e.

Any ideas guys?

Use wiiflow, just put it on your sd card and have a usb drive plugged in (format with wfbs).
It can be run from homebrew channel (or from a wii channel using a wad)

I found it easy to do.

i've never done these cios things either.

Try installing a wad installer from the homebrew browser (if you want one).
