New Brit supercar unveiled

British supercar maker Arash has unveiled its new AF-10 supercar and it's aiming to give established manufacturers a shock with its high-tech design. Looking quite similar to Ferrari's outrageous FXX supercar, the AF-10 uses lightweight carbon fibre for its entire body and chassis - just like a Formula One racer.

Underneath the angular and aerodynamically efficient body lies a 7.0-litre V8 engine normally found in Corvettes. It sits in the middle of the car, just behind the cockpit, and produces 550bhp. Driving through a six-speed manual gearbox, it should be enough to see the Arash AS-10 from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and top speed is estimated at 205mph by the car's builders.

However, if 205mph isn't your idea of fast, Arash is planning an even more powerful version of the AF-10 that will use a supercharged Corvette engine boasting 800bhp. With the AF-10's lightweight construction, this will give the British supercar a better power-to-weight ratio than the incredible Bugatti Veyron.

Arash is yet to announce when the AF-10 will go on sale, but the company says it will be sometime in mid-2010 when a full programme of testing has been completed.

Looks a pretty lovely car. Put some red on it and it looks similar to the ferrari enzo.

didnt mention the price tho!
