Duel Boot on 600c [How do i do it] - Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum

hi, i was reading the forum today and it's also been mentioned in the past that you can have 2 images as a multi-boot on the 600c and I'm wondering how i go about doing it.

i have jade green v 3 on at the moment and I'd like to put the new DW image on and have the choice to boot into either one.

i think i read that you install the 2nd image to the hard drive but then I'm thinking then how will i ftp the magic files and that onto the box.

Also what would happen with recordings, would they show under both images or would i have to revert back to the image that recorded them to watch them back.

Barry allen is the programme your looking for mate, it allows you to multi boot.

That is the same setup I have useing jade green v 3 in flash and DW on the hard drive u need to install barry allen pluging this will enable u to muli boot.

Do a search for barry allen plugin.

I had problems trying to get barry allen to install with pli jade Dibb's you might have to install the DW image first then barry allen then pli jade mate.

I have v4.6.2 running fine with Pli Jade in flash, but I think the recommendation was a gemini image!

The latest powerpc version I can find for the 7020 n 600 is v4.8.22 but I have not tested yet.

I think this is ok to post as it's just a plugin! I'm sure Mods will remove if it's not.

I would've edited my previous post but didn't seem to be able to!

I bricked my 600 uninstalling v4.6.2 fcuk nose how, but hey out with the null modem cable n flashed the latest Official Dream firmware using Dreamup.

v4.8.22 I posted installed fine on the Clean Official Image and I'm now back up n running using my current working image from HDD without any probs.

So I have Official Dream Firmware in Flash n a Cli image running from HDD @ the mo, now I just need to add back in the DW image to HDD for a play

Just thought I'd confirm v4.8.22 seems to work ok, and ask if anyone knows if this is the latest 600 (powerpc) version?

you lost me a little like there, DW is just about done and installed then going to format the hard drive and then install barry onto it....ah is that the plug that goes into / tmp that your on about?

Sorry I think I mean't Jade in flash should be ok for BarryAllen as I had a version working fine with it!

After seeing your initial post I went to see if I could find a newer version than the one I had installed, I found one, posted it, then thought only fair I should try it myself. Bricked me 600 uninstalling the old version I had installed. lol

As I Bricked I thought best to flash Original Dream 600PVR Image to Flash as a starting point. I then installed the BarryAllen Plugin I posted to the untouched Original Image, then installed my current working image backup which is a Cli image to the HDD using the BarryAllen Plugin, I've now installed DW image to HDD as well.

My point was I would have tried to install BarryAllen to your Working jade image then installed DW image to HDD to setup n test!

Edit: I missed your edit, the mipsel version is not for the 600 you need the powerpc version
