dm500c not working - Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum

Hey all

got a dm500c all set up with neutrino2 a while ago. gave it to a mate .. worked ok for a couple of days.

now he says it's stopped working. he tried doing a scan but the list on the settings menu looked like they were for satellite. so he tried backing up the image from a 2nd box and flashing it to this using flash wizard pro but I think he bolloxed that up.

problem is now I can't connect to it using either dream up, FTP or flash wizard pro although it is still powering up. with dream up when it tells you to connect power it just hangs there .. nothing happens (and I've done this loads before). can't connect using FTP or flash wizard pro cos the IP 192.168.1.100 is not working any more. can't get hold of the IP as when I hook it up to the TV there's no picture.

help !!!

when on the tv do a factory reset then try flashing again.

Flash dreamup and start again.

Are you using a null modem cable? should work if you have that cable,
make sure you untick network maybe try another computer.

There was a thread on around here to find out the ip address from the led on the front of the box don't think it works on all boxes,

Also try ipconfig in command prompt worth a shot.

tried dream up using null modem cable - nothing happens after connecting power lead .. just hangs there. like I said I've used dream up loads of times before on other boxes and never had a problem with it.

I'm guessing the image flash might have gone wrong somewhere.

I'll give ipconfig a shot ..

ipconfig - just getting the IP of my network card.

is there any other way of getting the IP of the box or has the flash completely messed it up?

How about ipconfig/all also don't think you can have a router in the way direct connection only
