Hi. Could anyone point me in the direction of a cheap cable broadband router. Got two pcs, wii and xbox 360, and sick of playing 2nd fiddle to the wife and kids. lol thanks. hope I don't get too much abuse. lol

Virgin charge exisiting customers for the netger router, I've just tried to get one.

Microdirect do a TP-link wireless router for £19, it is 54G wireless with 4 wired ports and an input port to connect to your modem. I have one of these as a backup and had to use it when my gigabit netgear went duff. I was quite pleased with the performance with such a cheap bit of kit. The wireless range was better than my £90 netgear.

I've just flashed an old Linksys BEFSR41 v2, which I've dug out the bits box ready to sell. This is WIRED ONLY, no WiFi capabilities, but you can have it for £20, inc p&p. (Or make ma an offer!)

If it's any good to you, frop me a PM. It's going in the local rag next week if no takers. Boxed, with original powerpack and an ethernet cable.

I dug it out with the plan of flashing with a custom firmware and having a play, but it doesn't look like it's capable of running it, so its got the last release of the stock Linksys FW on it.
