Hi there,
newly installed commando 11.
when I press standby i still hear the sound from the channel.

Any idea what could be causing this.

Sounds like a scart lead problem, check both ends are inserted correctly or try another scart.

might revert to backup image of commando 6 and see if its the scart lead.
Then put commando 11 back on with no mods and see if fta has same problem.
That'll rule out the emu mods etc.


if anyone knows what standby does it would be helpful. does it just mute and show black screen or does it turn of processes?

If you telnet in to a dbox that is in Standby Mode and type ps - you can see that most proccesses are still active. So standby kills audio and video, plus replaces the LCD screen with the Clock and Calendar.

hmm, i was almost sure i posted a followup to this.

I installed different image and problem was gone. The problem was only seen in commando 11 and when i used commando 10 the sound muted like expected when i pressed standby.
