I'm like Jaffa, I've tried, but always ended up back on the bleddy things. I know most of it is habit though, as I'm not that much of a heavy smoker. (10-15 a day?) The trouble for me is, I'm on pain meds 24/7, and after each dose of my pain meds, I always have a sit down with a fag afterwards to chill out, and give the meds time to kick in. When I tried last time, I was convinced my pain meds didn't work as well without the fag afterwards! Lol. (But it really did feel like it to me)

I might look into that champix stuff though, ta! (How big a tablet is it, out of interest, 'cos I ain't good with the bloody things!)

a mate of mine used it and it worked a treat and he has tried everything hes still on the wagon 4 month on and is happy as larry. good luck guys

They are only small tablets m8 give it a go you can always crush them up if need be.

Good luck with stopping m8, I smoke myself but but in the last few years i have managed to cut the amount I have, I only smoke when I have a few drinks now
I can go day and night with out one but the minute I have a pint I need to go for a smoke.

I've cut down to 5 a day. I'm planning on going cold turkey as of Monday. Wish me luck

used champix for 3 0r 4 days then stopped
since november 19th last year,ive put on about 1 and a half stone
but i was a skinny coont before so i can get away with it..
i can also smell and taste stuff now.

First off, full respect to Rodbouy and everyone else who has chucked it as it aint bloody easy.
Like many others i have tried and failed but i am seriously gonna have a go at it soon..
I dont smoke much during the day or when im working but im terrible at night.

Hi I quit 2 years ago after 37 years was on 40 a day then went onto miniture cigars but was smoking 20 of them in the end. Was told about a thing called X Smokers by a friend so triedit.
This cost me £40 equal to 200 cigs at the time and was at the local Chorley Hosp.
It consisted of accupuncture two tiny niddle inserted inside your ears and covered with a tiny plaster, when you get a craving you pressed on either needle which gave a sharp pain for a split second and it went.

BEST THING I EVER DID !!!!!!!!
