Ripping Original DVD's

Hi all, just need some advice as to what is the best software for ripping oringal DVD's. I need to make copies of a few films for my kids as they have a habbit or trying to eat them at times as opposed to watching them.

Any help will be welcome.

Re: Ripping Original DVD's

Hi Ashwar,
Download a programme called DVD Shrink (it's freeware so don't use any sites that ask for payment). It is easy to use and it will shrink your original DVD enough for it to fit on a blank DVDR it will also recode most protected DVDs.
Once it has been shrunk just copy with nero or whichever burning programme you wish to use.
Hope this is of help to you.

Re: Ripping Original DVD's

Cheers, thanx for that.

I've used 1ClickDvd in the past but had issues with DVD's not playing. Tried AnyDVD in the past aswell, but can never get it to register, not sure if this is a Vista thing.

Will give DVD Shrink ago.

Re: Ripping Original DVD's

I've used AnyDVD before but can never register it under Vista and i'm not that bothered to install xp. Anyone else have issues or better still a solution to installing AnyDVD in Vista.
