going to reflow the xbox360 can anyone recommend the watt 1500/2000

You want something that will do around 350 degrees centigrade mate.

Mine does 600 degrees, and I must be really carefull with it, it's way too easy to blow capacitors at that heat.

I'd buy that gun mate, nice and hot

I've repaired loads of 360s mate, I've only had 3 of them returned as the RROD'ed again after a few months, I'd say I've had around 98% sucess with them.

The 3 that failed were all 1 light of death, for some reason I have trouble with those.

is it best to do both sides and if so do you do one side first then let it cool then do the other i have to ask because ive seen videos of people doing both sides at the same time.

I always do both sides (CPU/GFX and HANA) but I let the board cool before turning over.

Also don't spend too long on any one area as you could find that caps and resistors have dropped off the bottom side (I speak from experience, lol).

Don't skimp on the thermal compound either, paying a few quid extra for quality stuff like Artic Silver 5 is definitely worth it.

witchy both my xboxs havent had the xclamp fix what i want to know can i reuse the old screws and washers or will i need new also does the xbracket underneath the mobo go back on easily.
