Xp home serials wont work FFS any help ?

I have 3 computers here with serials on for xp home there not stolen there my own bought computers

So ive just downloaded a xphome disk with sp3 intergrated which davidh and people gladly pointed me to but im half way through the insalation and It wont accept any of my ledgit serials

Its asking for the yellow product key so it probably needs a newer xp home serial

can someone point is in the right direction here It wont even let me skip the page for now

So I need a valid product key any help would be great please chaps me heads batterd

The SP3 is the problem.
MS have changed the way they do things. When you register your serial all your hardware details are logged by MS and specifically tie in to your original version of xp,therefore your key is valid. You do an upgrade but use the code then the hardware doesn't match and it flags. A code is uniquely assigned to a specific version.

You need to ring MS. Explain the situation and they will provide you a legitimate new key and your problem will be sorted.

nah david m8 thanks for the try though looks like im stuck at the last hurdle I have 3 ledgit serials here of computers Ive bought in the past If I contact microsoft do you think they will send me some disks out

Thanks for the info I have some clean xp home disks but there dell versions and they also have trouble updating

Im wanting to sell these lappys on ebay etc so I just need some clean installs without using genuine xp cracks

think I will make a few phone calls I have genuine serials ? which ive paid for so im not doing out wrong - Why dont the give you xp disks when you buy lappys full stop - instead of the shitty recovery disks

Cos they'll charge you around £97 for them.

They class using a code on a different pc as piracy and they won't let it verify. Thats why none of the so called 'universal codes' don't work anymore.

Ring em up,they'll sort it out for you.

I have a good sp2 disc that i have used dozens of times lizzard.
Its an original one with all the blue chip crap taken out of it, approx 600mb.

sorted my misses has just found a old original home sp1 disk in the shed maybe shes not so bad after all lol


post closed will take ages to update but hey atleast no cracks thanks for al the help lads

Nice one mate, glad ya got sorted.
If your putting it on a few pcs you should download nlite and make up a disc with updates included after you do your first one.
You can slipstream the sp3 update and drivers into the disc.
