Hi,

I've just bought a Qbox one and I was wondering if they are any good?

It sounds the part but I've not managed to find much out about it.

It has Wi-fi, DVB-T and S tuner installed.

Are these similar to Dreamboxes?

Any help would be great thanks.

it looks a bit like the 500 only it has wifi and a diablo in side it would say most of the file system would be the same let us know how you get on with it

Yes M8 let us know how you get on.
I was going to get one last year for Satellite (DVB-S) and Chorus MMDS (DVB-T),could use the one box for both.
Also has the Wifi built in,handy for CS.
I decided against it due to the limited software available for it and the lack of feedback.
Spec wise thought its a great box.

Cool guys my biggest worry is the lack of software and feedback aswell but I took the plunge cos' of the functions it has but time will tell.

I may have made a mistake or I could have just bought a handy box who knows!

you might of been better getting the hd one think you might find a lot more support with it ok cost a couple of pounds more but i would say this will be there main receiver

Yeah m8 I've noticed that there is much more support for the Qbox HD but I bought it spur of the moment, I was really after a Dreambox. I'll give it a go & see how it works, if I can't get anywhere with it I'll move it on.

Its a shame there isn't much support for it as it is priced really well and I bought it cos' the guy said it was similiar to the dreambox 500 & 600 but with more features. I thought I might have been able to run Dreambox images on them but I don't think I can.
