Ok my m8's samsung has arrived today but im not 100% on how i make it work in his box.

Obviously i need his key but do i actualy need to tell the drive it's an hitachi?

A simple run down on how to with jf would be highly apreciated for this noob

Unlock Samsung

Hitachi as source

Samsung iX as target

Spoof Source to target (you see where this is going?

)

Check target buffer has Sammy iX, Hitachi Key, OSIG of Samsung / Spoofed as Hitachi

Write

Outro --> Check drive properties, it should inquire as a Hitachi now (spoof doing its job)

what the hitachi original as source?

The hitachi firmware from the drive you are replacing

thanks oggy all done.

Still wont play copys though

plays originals ive tested the copys on mine and my boys drives hitachi and liteon and they work.

Didn't work on his hit and dont work on his brand new sammy.
