Flashing from a 78 to a 46 or replace board as drive isn't showing - Digital World Cable Satellite Console Forum

chaps,

got a 78fk here that i need to pull the key from and plop on a 46dg, thintg is when i plug the drive in it's not being recognized under windows and won't eject using the eject button on the xecutor.....

if this is the case then I'll not be able to read the key from the gooshed one to be able to plop on the new drive.....

I've just done a stock Hitachi so i know i have everything set up correctly.... what about pulling the insides apart (MB) from the gooshed one and putting it in the new drive?

Any ideas

Cheers man for the reply......i'm not using the 360 to power it...pressing eject on the xecutor does nothing. when i power it on drive it makes a funny noise and then pc hangs a little and that's about it....

They tried to fix n bust it more

but if u chock the inside of the drive with a disk in, it will play the disk in the machine - u have to open the drive up to change disks lol

bwhaha.....kk mate, thanks for all the help bro....

edit : oh shizz it's worked and found it i just kept slamming it open and shutting it ! mental.....so it's appeared in JF just need to know how to take the key off it and then put it on the 46DG one......

man it's worked.....it's took a while like but I've read the key off it and saved it....looks like it's had 1.4 on it.... you think i can then put it onto the other drive......but this is starting to get out my league now......

i got the key and it's 1.4, i'm really kinda needing holding by the hand now to kinda put it on a new drive....sorry for being a n00b but i only started flashing (not that kind) a few weeks ago, and i've never taken the key from a drive that was bust and put it on an untouched one....
