Ire N2 DVB-c Fix

Hi

As you may know there is now a dreambox n2 fix for Ireland.

As it is open source and the keys are now public, is there any way of getting this fix to run on v-plug or the likes.

Cheers Guys

Re: Ire N2 DVB-c Fix

afaik, if you put the keys into vplug and configure it properly then it will run just fine.

Use VPlug 2.4.2 or later

Enter the Op key as keyindex 00 for provider 5F01
Enter the modulus as keyindex M1 for provider 5F01
Also enter the modulus as keyindex M9 for provider 5F01
If you have the ECM verify key then you can also enter that as keyindex V for provider 5F01. You shouldn't need this though.

In v_emm.ini add the following -

Code:
[5E01]
PID=0081
Schedule=1
Active=1

[5F01]
PID=0081
Schedule=1
Active=1
In Vplug.ini add the following somewhere in the [main] section

Code:
CAID_IgnoreList=1800,1802
ProviderID_IgnoreList=5401,5501
you may already have these items added - just edit to include the above values so that N1 (1800) & N3 (1802) are ignored and that the old N1 providerIds (5401, 5501 for exNTL areas) are also ignored.

tbh, I didn't know there was a hypercam for the PC.

Vplug will do the job though, as long as its set up to allow it. Not sure about stability as i've only ever tested it "remotely"

Re: Ire N2 DVB-c Fix

Use the built in editor in Vplugs console (click the icon in the taskbar when vplug is running and then use the "editor" tool) to enter them

Re: Ire N2 DVB-c Fix

Ok Guys,

Thanks for all the help.

Been reading up, and it seems you do not need to mod any files in vplug.

Just create a softcam.txt and import to vplug.

N 5F01 00 xxxxxxxxxx... ; IDEA key00
N 5F01 01 xxxxxxxxxx... ; IDEA key01 here
N 5F01 M1 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx…; for RSA
N 5F01 V 0101010101010101

Reading the hypercam keyfile it seems a bit confusing how to determine the above keys. I take it the rsa key is the really long one, and the others are the shorter keys.

Thanks
