hi guys, my friend has a technomate 9100 super which he got about 3 months ago, we put the ur18 image on it and all has been working fine until earlier today, he turned it off by remote ,so in standby mode and went out for 20 minutes came back and tried to turn it back on with remote and it just came up with a green line at the top of the led bit on the front panel, i went to have alook with him and tried booting it up while pressing the ok button and nothing, tried with the up arrow and nothing, all it does is come up with a green line going accross the top of the led bit where the time or channel you are on would be, it did have a hard drive in that sounded as though it booted up we then took the hard drive out and there is no sound at all coming from the reciever it just doesnt make any sort of booting up sound or anything, the on/off button on the front will sometimes be blue or sometimes be red or sometimes wont be on at all, the only other thing i can really tell you is when we took the hard drive out i tried turning it on with my ear near the insides to listen and there does seem to be a very slight like clicking sound when you turn it on to the right of where the hard drive would be, its like a biggish yellow thing like a transformer or some thing like that maybe,

turn the power off at the back, press and hold the up button on the front of the receiver, and turn the power on, youll now have to manually turn the tv to the connected AV channel, and you should see a boot menu

can you get this far?

the tv wont auto switch to the scart socket in this mode

thanks for replying mate, no i cant even get to that, its like the technomate isnt even booting up at all, i was going to try and reflash it via the serial cable and tried booting it up holding the ok button and then holding the up arrow key and still nothing, sometimes when you have turned it on and you press the arrow keys it will turn the power button red or blue and sometimes nothing there at all, strange one

thanks for trying to help digidude, i have been in touch with the guy i bought it off and he said the same as you near enough and when i said theres no way to communicate with the reciever he said better get it back to me so we can swap it for you, So problem is getting solved thanks again
