Re: Disk Defragmenter

Theres loads of them out there m8, my preference is for auslogics disk
defragmenter purely because of the speed,
it has the option to defrag all your h/drives and switch PC off after,

There are better ones but this is well worth trying

Re: Disk Defragmenter

i use O&O defrag, once you have done initial defrag on each volume it will then run in the background and tbh you don't even notice it running.

O&O Software - O&O Defrag Pro Disk Defrag Software $50 direct or considerably cheaper in the usual download places :-)

ive been checking errors on disk and its been returning with a error detected message, now that i know there is errors, how do i go about fixing them?

do you do it through o&o or do you have to reboot and just shedule CHKDSK?

use checkdisk. If its your main drive then the os will schedule a check on next reboot due to locked files. When you reboot the drive will be scanned. If you have more than one drive then do the same for that, better to scan all drives at the same same as you dont want to reboot again and again for checks.
