I went for a medical as my badge is coming up for renewl. doctor said the fee is £120 but i told him the going rate is £70 and he said he could not do anything about. once the form was filled and stamped he took it to the girl at counter to photocopy it and he walked back to his room. after few mins she gave me the form back in a evolope and walked off. so i call her and tell her its a medical form. she asks for £120 i say to her is this what i get for being honest i could off walked off and i tell her going rate is £70 so she says just pay £70 so i did. now i get a letter saying please pay the outstanding £50 What shall i do?

Driving school has a Dr at hospital that can do it for £65 ! lol


Could get it done at hospital I work at, but changing jobs under radar lol

Will go for the £65 though as its through the driving school an get discount on total cost still expensive at over £900 !

Why do you think it needs to be your own registered doctor ?... any doctor does mate, anyone at all.

Medicals are a fiddle.

Straight into the doctors pocket.

Trust me, I know some that do it.

You would think with the salary they get they would not be such a bastard about it.

But there you go, that's human beings for you.

thats professionals for you - doctors, academics, etc. i've worked with both and find them arrogant & condesending. yeah, it's stereo typing but hey - it's my experience.

doing tech support for GP surgeries was horrendous, 1 doctor rang shouting once AT US because he'd had his server stolen in a burgulary, he wanted to start surgery but all the appointments were on the server that was gone - along with the backup tape left in it. Then it's our fault for "not being able to recover his data" - aye, right, shall we use magic eh.
