Looking at the above picture it looks to be this player: Silvercrest KH 6508/09 DivX DVD player so should have DivX playback too (but you'll have to check in store to confirm).

Hope it play's Divx
I've been looking for a cheap machine for a while as i'm fed up plugging in the lappy tot the TV

Yes nice find lp want a cheap one for the bedroom this looks just the job.

yes these are cheap....but problem with these are that after its been playing for a while it heats up...cheap lasers are used in these products...ive had three tevions from aldis....after a while the picture starts to pixalate...sometimes the dvd/divx freezes....so i bought a sony one....what yo pay for is what you get really...

thanks for that..
but i'd have to agree with Johnny on this subject.. I had to cheap ones that died on me in the past..

on a side note.. any1 know of any MKV players??!?!?!?!?!

As far as I know the following plays MKV but I don't own one myself so you probably need to do a bit of research. This is a bit more expensive than £20 though!

Western Digital WD TV HD media player

Also I think the price has gone up on Play.com since this was posted, but I'm sure it's still available elsewhere at a cheaper price.

Hold on a minute 19.99 and a 3year warranty I dont think I would be worrying about the longevity of the laser. As a cheap do all DVD player it cant be bad

If you're playing off USB or memory card the laser won't be used so should last a long while.

Yes it has usb, the model numbers are actually KH 6519 and KH 6520 (black or silver). The manual says it only plays media upto 1gb, but looking round on other forums, people have plugged 250gb hard drives in and had no probs.

with other media things ive found if it does have a limit and your having trouble just plug your hdd/pen in then turn on the player and it normally finds it ive even read turn both units on at the exact same time can help but turning one on then the other as always worked for me i had the same prob with media/divx player thingy.
