Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Nokia DBox2 wont flash IFA, HELP!! Hi all. I've just aquired a Nokia DBox2 but it's stuck at 'loading kernel' display on the lcd screen. I've tried flashing it with IFA with no joy. I've done 3 boxes before, all Sagems, and they took images no trouble but this Nokia seems stubborn. I've tried lots of different images but it won't budge. Is it beyond saving or is there anything else I could try? |

I suggest you use the portable version of IFA and try flashing using crossover cable only.................here's the portable IFA http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/18552...table-ifa.html

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: Nokia DBox2 wont flash IFA, HELP!! Hi guys. I got IFA to work through my router, it wouldn't work through my pc, so I've now got an image. Another problem is now after setting my location to scan, I get no transponders through fast scan. I have a Sagem wich doesn't have any trouble scanning. I've gone direct with no splitters on the feed but no joy. Signal booster needed or anything else anyone could reccomend? Thanks __________________ |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: Nokia DBox2 wont flash IFA, HELP!! back the image up from the sagem read one partition and flash without boot loader it will put it into /tmp called mtd3.img then if the sagem is a 1x convert the image using imagworks on your pc choose 2x and NO bootloader then flash it to the nokia it should just come straight on and there is no need to scan if the sagem is 2x there is no need to convert it before you flash it.

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: Nokia DBox2 wont flash IFA, HELP!! Fergals option is the easiest way to get a box up and running without all the FTP work required to transfer all sorts of files to various locations. However, assuming you have all the roms/keys, EMUs etc in the right place with the attributes set to the correct values and services are all you require ...... just copy your services and bouquets from your working image to var/tuxbox/config/zapit then using remote press dbox > service > reload channel lists.
