Have a eurovox max from a friend of a friend, Help please.

Apparently it's a clone but that's confused me, the tuner goes 12 slots back and the screws have red paint on some of them, the wires have single strands, all indicating it is a clone but the power supply appears to be genuine with the five green links, coils, L1,2 3 4 and 5, marked one hundred on there tops, the case is dark grey and the area around the display is silver, I'm guessing it's a clone and the wrong firmware has been loaded on it, it boots up but the remote only turns it on and off, nothing on screen, I loaded , EVMAX_BLUE_011208_CORE_140207_CLONESAFE.bin on to it and it loaded ok but still no functions, tried connecting it with coax fly lead and tuning it in to the tv but it wasn't found, anyone got any ideas or pointers ?

Feel let down, so no one can help ? guess I was expecting too much, I certainly help where I can, mainly Electronics, don't think I shall try so hard in future.

try a scart lead

Started with a scart lead, auto switching worked but just got a blank screen, read loads and tried different things, such as using a fly lead to connect but got nowhere, this isn't even for me but feel let down, as in I,m sure someone could help but hasn't botherd.

if somebody could help they would
but if u are notgetting anyoutput from scart or flylead i would say it is a graphix chip problem

You have probably sorted this out, if you havent all you need to do is connect the box via the tv/vcr socket using an rf lead to your tv and then you will get the picture, you can muck about with the settings so it works through your scart again.

just reread your post and it looks like you have already tried this, but it does work.
