Discuss high deff dbox at the Dreambox Receivers (all models) within the DigitalWorldz - Satellite, Cable, Console Forums; i have a sagem dbox just now iam looking to buy a dbox that can receive the high deffenition chanels my tv is dvb connection could someone please advise me on a good box please ...

    i have a sagem dbox just now
    iam looking to buy a dbox that can receive the high deffenition chanels
    my tv is dvb connection
    could someone please advise me on a good box please

    there isnt a dbox HD reciever but the dm800c is what your looking for

    £400 though

    CubeRevo Mini is a cheaper option at about £240 but it has issues with cable at the minute as well as lots of other things

    you'd need to connect it to your TV via the HDMI slot though not DVB?

    If we're talking cable here, there's still only one HD channel, BBC HD.

    yeh i know only 1 chanel just not just want to be ready when they come out
    i heard the starview 3 can do high deff channels is this correct or is my mate winding me up

    some of the markus media players will upscale your dbox and any other to 1080i.

    as a media player i was not too impressed but there is a definate difference on picture for the upscalling. i tested it on a markus 750.

    Have a look at the Eurovox EX7000HD, its a Hidef box and also supports PVR function via external usb drive
