Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: How to shrink oversize movie All software mentioned so-far shrink/clone/fab are transcoders, with the level of compression required, I guarantee that the results will not look that good. Only use transcoding for low level compression. With the level of compression you require; 1) Use a dual layer disc (no compression req'd) 2) Re-encoding - More time & a bit more complex, but better results. If you are satisfied with the results from your transcode, I will leave it at that, but if you require more info on re-encoding, I will provide it for you. |

Also re-encoding a DVD9 in ANY way to fit on a DVD5 has to involve compression somewhere. Messa | |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: How to shrink oversize movie tried dvd shrink, its not re encode it has but re-author. I also tried a full back-up and it only backed up 2.36gb of the movie out of 8gb. not sure whats goin on with this, been doing movies for years. Ive had probs before with oversize movies. What i did before was to shrink the movie twice but its not letting me do it with this. |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: How to shrink oversize movie Thought, that would happen, shrink/clone etc cannot re-encode. You need a encoder, such as HC Encoder, CCE, TMPGEnc, however these are complex. DVD-Rebuilder provides a front end to make the process easier. Get it from here or the authors site. Read stuff in the doom9 forum that will also give you a good understanding. If you have problems getting the bits, pm me have I have them all somewhere, as I used do loads of this kind of thing.
