Hi All - I've just got some fake Dstt cards from good old D.Ex.... However when I put the card into my daughters Ds(existing card over 1yr old so believed to be genuine) with her Micro SD and current games(1.16 firmware) they all work fine !
Will they be ok or is it something that happens gradually to kill the fakes..

Did you open it and check it was a fake or did you use the fake checker below posted by meangreenie.

If it works it should be o.k. Although I would open it and take a photo proving it is a fake and contact DE, they will send you a real one and dont usually ask for the fake back.

btw...I think they ask for the photo as proof.

It can take a while on some fakes, my 2 fakes came back within a week with the same un-able to boot syndrome even though they appeared to be fine at first. So if they are still booting fine in a weeks time they should be good, and maybe goes to show that the new fakes are already fooling ndstt.com's attempt of sabotage.

the good news is if they do get zapped you can recover them easily enough, especially since you have an original DSTT to fix them with, it's a piece of cake.

I have bought about 20 fakes now from DX using the 1.7a software not one bad one all work fine

I opened them all mate - Checked coz the Sd slot is on the same side as the original.....They changed this last year ..

Got Myself a couple of dstt cards from DX,1 kept fading at the start up screen and freezing,i just replaced the 353kb TTMENU file with the fake killer file knocking about the forums now everything is sweet as.

It took me a long time to figure out what's wrong with my 2 DSTT cards. I got them from DX too. I haven't tried the recovery bin yet. I hope it works.

Just Ran Fake Checker on the Ds cards I thought were fake 1.16 firmware on Sd card....ALL came back as TRUE

Not all my dstt cards from dx are f***ed by the fake killer, it's strange ...

my cousin fetched hers back today stopped loading ( woops ) wasnt the dstt cart though was the sanddisk memory card inside that knackerd all of my fakes still working fine with 1.7a on fingers crossed its been 3 weeks 10 out of 10 so far
