I D/L the files from The New... But Old GPS Modding Site Is On Air! - View topic - tomtom v7.910.9185 on the sy885 ?????????? now working

It boots up ok but keep getting "no maps found"
I've tried the V8 crack with the W/E maps and the UK but still no maps found
I ve got 2 folders on my SD card "mobilenavigator" and uk map or W/E map folder

do the maps have to go in a folder ie my doc's etc?

I've gone back to V7.450 which works fine

You must use V8 crack whatever map with this ver, I saw your thread on that forum, that guy Geoff does not know what he's on about. You would have been better off asking your questions under the original post, with jake.

I have 2 folders mobilenavigator and "Western_Europe_1GB_815.2024" all the map files are in there (W/E). The W/E map inc complete UK, so I deleted my old UK map. However when it was on my SDcard I was able to swith between them in Tom Tom.

If you are now using V7.450, you can rename the old files (mobilenavitor+ data chk + (map dct)) and copy the new files to the mobilenavigator folder. Re-crack your map with V8 and it should work. If it does not you can always delete files, change names back to the original.

The other diff is my Navigo is V1

I forgot to say i was trying it as a fresh install.
I have now cpoied those2 files over my v7.450 and it all works sort of

copied the uk maps but keep get i/o errors on the W/E .must be my crap SD card

I had a few probs at first, reformatting my card solved all

Command mode XP, with navigo connected to PC
Start Menu -> Run ->cmd
format x: /fs:FAT in my case sdcard =g:

c:\> format g: /fs:FAT

This formatted my SD card with FAT16 (no volume label) on the navigo.

Then copied my old files back onto the card, probs solved.
