Are you 100% sure you have renabled it? And are you sure you are not using the crossover cable to connect it to your router? That wont work... |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: Connecting to the Internet Yeah just double checked. It's definitely an Ethernet cable. Gone in to the box's settings they are as follows: Enable network (ticked) DHCP (ticked) And as far as I know, nothing else matters? it has IP addresses and stuff in from when I connected via crossover, but that doesn't matter does it? As DHCP will ignore them and auto assign that info? (correct me if I'm wrong). In my routhers DHCP Client List, all that is showing up is my PC, my Laptop and my work Laptop. Nothing else ![]() Do I have to open up any ports on the routers settings to allow the connection? |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: Connecting to the Internet No, you dont need to open any ports. That just allows traffic to flow to a host on your network, which you dont have yet. You mention that you have details on the DM500 for its IP address? Try pinging the address there and see what happens. Also, is the Dreambox switched on? |

Also, go onto the command line in windows and type in ipconfig. Can you also post the IP address of your machine here for me, along with your subnet? |
