Anyone know why all channels work fine on my 4001 except for Virgin1/+1 which show no picture but sometime broken sound?

that would be a signal issue i have same prob in one of my bedrooms luckily engineer friend is gonna sort it tomoz

You're right I remove a splitter and they came back. I think there must be a weak signal to the house here. In my old house everyting was great and split feeds didn't cause a problem.
What is your mate going to do? I was thinking of chopping the main feed in garden so they'd have to come out and repair/renew it. Would that help or is it something in the box that feeds the street that needs fixing? or maybe the blue/grey box on the wall outside my front room?

Try an amplifier. Although not a perfect solution it may do the trick.

Dont try cutting the cable. Chances are VM will bill you to repair it.

these r they channels l have a problem with , l have a yellow brick booster and without that l wouldnt get them at all .. but the trusty 600 with it better tuner gets them without a single backup ,


bit of a pain as the wife like to watch fringe on sky one in bed ..

Don't know if the policy is the same now but when I had NTL installed over my old house years ago they dug the garden up and put the cable in. The fitter said they repair it free of charge if you damage it. If they didn't I'd point out that sky doesn't have a cable under my lawn to damage
