laptop hard drive - into the 360

heard that you can plug a lap top hard drive into the hard drive of the 360 and use that rather than having your eyes pulled out by getting a official one?

Is this true?

i'm stuck with only 1 game on the hard drive and it's full! so i was thinking if im can wack another 100 gig in or some thing then that would be cool.

Stick it back in your 360 and format ir, you wil get the 3 partitions back.

There is NO easy way to move data from a 20GB to a 120GB unless you have

An x-sata, or
A data transfer cable, or
A large MU

You CANNOT dump data from one to the other via SATA on the PC. Even using the xsata360 software it requires some serious manipulation of files. WHich in my opinion ain't worth teh aggro since you can get a 120GB for 59.99 in Game/Gamestation.

Also, some game saves simple WILL NOT transfer as they are copy protected.

Re: laptop hard drive - into the 360

What is the point of having a larger HDD. When i copied a game to my 20G hd i thoought i would be able to play it direct from there without the disc BUT it still asks for the disc ? Pointless

Unlike the old xbox which used to play them directly from the hdd. Will this ever happen for the 360 ?
