Last night I turned off my wireless security for about an hour as I was testing something.

After about 40 minutes with no security, I noticed that my Internet was getting really sluggish. I checked my routers DHCP status and noticed that TWO of my neighbours had jumped onto my Wireless, lol

Is there any way I can get access to their computers and have a snoop ;)

Can you see them on your network (in networked computers)?

If so you can have some fun with this....

Or if they have any files or folders shared you can hop on to those....

Of course it is...but hopping onto someone elses wireless is too....so if you were on my network you should expect everything that happened to your pc...lol

Just like breaking into someone's home, it is against the law for me to do anything to the person that does it....but if you do break in...then expect me not to be happy....

Tis a two way door dude...

Can you still send messages that pop up in DOS to their IP address.???

That would scare the sh1t out of them and bet they would log off pretty damn quick :Jester:

which of course, is illegal...

Can't be anymore illegal than them being on my network in the first place!

The way I see it is, if files and folders are accessible on MY network, then I have every right to view them.

Just lock it up and call it something else like in the other postabout ssid.

"its locked again you cheeky fookers" would send the message to them.

Totally agree Witchy, if they are stupid enough to hop onto YOUR network and have sharing on...then they are actively sharing those folders and files on your network...

if they're on your network you might be able to telnet in in for a poke about using the internal IP your network assigned them.... theoretically of course

Mate, would you believe I've actually set the SSID to 'VIRGIN Anti-Fraud TRAP TR01' and "VIRGIN Anti-Fraud TRAP TR02", and they still connected!

lol

I've renamed them to 'Virgin Fraud Investigation AP00 / AP01"

Maybe if I rename them "I'm going to murder you" they'll get the message.

lol

One of the naughty connections is called 'Betty-PC' and the other is 'BH-Network', it could be interesting ;)

or have you tried ftp://(local-IP here)
from your browser

I can't see them having an FTP server running somehow. :)

I'll switch off security again later tonight and have some fun.

I've got a lovelly little movie clip I'd like to upload to their desktop ;)

they dont need to have an ftp server running,
you should be able to view files through browser... much like a dreambox really

Much like a dreambox which has an FTP server running!

Try disabling the FTP server on your Dreambox and try to connect to it.

If there is no FTP server running on the host machine then you'll see nothing.

you could always set it up to wpa2 or mac filtering lol ... or once they connect you go into router settings should give you an ip or mac of machine and try open the shares files on their pc/lappy
