Feedback Score: 0 reviews | 4001 prob attenuation for some reason my 4001 decided to stop working the other day. i reset it. i have changed cims, tuners and caps. which has worked on others, but this one still just comes up with the nthell screen and says tune on the front. in engineers menu, signal quality is good, see emms no, netid wont set and i am in pure, even tried fun netid method. i have noticed that in the engineers menu, its says attenuation disabled, yet on others i have seen it says high. could this be the problem, but i cant seem to change it. is there a way of doing this. |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: 4001 prob attenuation you can definatly change it as i've done it a few times mate. i put it to low when i get juddering channels and it used to fix the prob. i then got a few different db filters etc.Its been ages but i'm sure its ch up and down on the remote to switch between high or low |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: 4001 prob attenuation I may be wrong chaps but I think the attenuation setting refers to the RF out. Muskrat

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: 4001 prob attenuation The attenuation is model specific. The 4001n has an internal rf bypass whereas the 4001nc hasn't. The 4001n allows a change between high and low whereas the 4001nc has the attenuation disabled, therefore it cannot be altered. Disabled means what it says on the tin.......disabled. Hope I have got this right model wise as I haven't seen one of these Pace for some time. I believe you are correct Muskrat as the attenuation on the rf in is usually accomplished via an external attenuator. Chookey |

Feedback Score: 0 reviews | Re: 4001 prob attenuation thanks for the above. i have repaired a few 4001n before when they have been stuck in tune, but this is the 4001nc, as i said before i have changed all the usual components for a stuck in tune problem. now what i cant remember is whether i would get a good signal strength when stuck in tune, or would it say no signal. |
